Motivation[edit]
Monumental trees (w:pt:Árvores de interesse público) are classified trees in Portugal. ICNF is responsible for maintaining a register with all the classified trees. They are given an unique ID, which is available here (if you don't understand Portuguese here is the query).
Most identifiers conform to "KNJ[1-4,6]/[0-9]{3}" but some identifiers are in the format AIP[0-9]{8}[A-Z] (ex. AIP01110415C, AIP11110574I). Maybe it would be better to give a unified and more generic constraint for the allowed values, please share your feedback.
Geodata are also available from their geocatalogue, which is where I extracted the information from all trees I plan to import to Wikidata Wikidata:Dataset Imports/Árvores de interesse público. The IDs can be used as references as well. GoEThe (talk) 14:04, 29 June 2020 (UTC)
Notified participants of WikiProject Portugal, WikiProject Cultural heritage has more than 50 participants and couldn't be pinged. Please post on the WikiProject's talk page instead.. GoEThe (talk) 15:51, 23 July 2020 (UTC)
Discussion[edit]

- Support and constraint adjusted to allow both forms. --Epìdosis 23:05, 25 July 2020 (UTC)
- Thanks! I had it like that before, but the "|" inside the template was not behaving. GoEThe (talk) 10:12, 27 July 2020 (UTC)
